Casualty from the Cold

Three Jackson’s Marina employees assisted the Hampton Bays Fire Department with efforts to extinguish a boat fire that occurred in the middle of February. The fire occurred on Fair Wind III a 44 foot commercial tuna boat. The fire took several hours to extinguish resulting in damage to a nearby boat, the melting of a fiberglass pole down to the waterline, and ultimately a totaled boat. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
